I have Black 2019 XLT with Stock Halogen headlights.

So, I am about to pull the trigger on 2018 Black OEM LED Headlights. I’m getting a great deal for them $1500 for the pair. After reading all the reviews on forums the aftermarket lights are not worth the money, time, and hassle.

But before I pull trigger can anyone help me understand what else I need to hook this up?

Do I need a different wire harness or module etc? If so what parts would I need.

Just want to understand if it’s easy install or I need a lot of different parts.

 

You will need a Halogen to LED conversion harness from @2016BoostedGreyGoose. He has a website www.bostedgreygoosedesigns.net.Also, make sure you get the ballasts with the housings or you'll be a no go.

Do I purchase the ballasts from Ford or do I get it from the same person who is sending me the Headlights?

 

Did the seller not tell you if they have them included or not? They are expensive.

 

I did not ask. Will ask though. Is it part of the assembly? I saw them online for $180 a piece though through a Ford part website.

 

They are mounted on the bottom of the light an are removable. So the seller should let you know if they are included.

For $1,500 I would really hope that includes everything you would need. If not then consider a morimoto or something similar that’s cheaper than that.

 

Yes it includes everything I need. Only need to get the special harness obvioulsy. Thanks for helping out.
