Installed Reverse lights in bumper and a couple of other things
Installed a pair of Rigid D-Series flood lights in my bumper over the weekend. Getting the wiring through the firewall was a bit of pain, especially since there is a module that has to try and squeeze through the rubber grommet with very little room. Also, cutting into the bumper was not fun, especially needing to make adjustments and wait for a dremel battery to charge after making 2 cuts. Overall looks good, I think. The lights come with a harness that is just on/off. I wanted the lights to come on automatically when in reverse as well. Rigid sells a harness with a 3-way switch that is on/off/auto which gave me this capability. I tapped into the center reverse light wire on the trailer connector and I was in business. Here are some pics.
Installed. I ended up blacking out the chrome bolt heads, too. Truck Bed Liner matfches Line X almost perfectly.
Lights on
Here's the view from the rear view camera with lights off
With lights on. The camera doesn't truly show how bright the lights are. Not washed out at all and lots of coverage.
The switch originally has this big red plastic cover. I painted it over with Blue Jeans Metallic spray and some clear. Tones down the red LED quite a bit.
When the lights are off, you hardly notice the switch is there.
Painted my exhaust tip as well. Pulled it off, cleaned it, scuffed it, 3 coats high temp black, a couple coats of the truck bedliner for texture, and then a final coat of high temp. No more chrome!
Also got this cool hitch cover I painted to match.

Nice upgrades!
I installed some backup lights just like yours on my 14 because I tinted my windows and had a hard time seeing while backing in next to curbs. I should have put in rock lights in the fender wells so I could actually see the curbs.
I am curious how your painted exhaust tip will hold up. I did mine but it kept getting chipped down to the chrome from rocks and road debris. I gave up and bought black bumpers and a black exhaust tip.
