Default Important post for In channel vent visors

So i ended up getting some in channel vent visors from AVS and like some i ran into a problem with the window hitting them on the way up. I spoke to a rep at AVS and she sent me some pics and sure enough i installed them wrong and i would bet this is a common mistake. Theyre called in channel and looking briefly at the instructions you would think they go in the channel of the window trim from front to back but thats where i screwed up. The front goes in between the mirror and rubber seal and the rear part actually goes on the outside and has to tuck into the seal which looks quite weird and not right but thats how the instructions say and she sent me pics fro reference. If its done like this theres no way of the window coming into contact so there should be no problems. Hope this pic works.

Have you driven with them like that? I'm curious if they are noisy or move around.

Is this on a Supercrew? If so, what model # of in-channels did you order?

Yes!...the part number you are using would definitely be helpful.

I was thinking of getting the Lund Vent Visor Elite ones, which is also in-channel, but I don't think they mount like that.

I just re installed them yesterday to that position and didint notice anymore noise than the other way and i got it up to 140 km/hr(private road of course). It was still there when i got home and tbh it does feel very tight, the only thing im not a fan of is how the back part goes on the outer seal like that, but it must be ok if they say thats how it goes.

Awesome, and looking at pics online, the 94975 that sit on the outside, attach to the black rubber around the window and not the paint, which I like the look of.
