I am not and don't think many of us are "brainwashed" my friend. It is a freaking vehicle. You are the one that seems to have your expectations set a bit to high.

If your truck has all those imperfections than shame on you for not spotting them on the lot.
It's actually my wife's truck, she makes the note, I sold my paid off 2009 Sierra to pay off her Infiniti. We purchased the truck so she had room for the child's car seat, vs buying an SUV and thus not having a truck. We bought the back seat. That's all. She wanted a package comparable to a Tahoe, so that's what we got. It's an suv with a bed. Ford has center shift on the console even.....

Our truck was sold to us from another dealer sight unseen and saw it first while some kid was washing it. Never stopped spraying water for us to even open the door. We had four days to take advantage of end of the month savings.

Lets don't start telling me what I need to do or should have done. I was talking to ford not you. Or mr. Fat wallets that wanted a limited. I didn't judge him or mention his money. I gave an opinion to ford. sorry ford is your girlfriend you take up for.

Again, shame on you for not checking the vehicle on the lot. Kid washing it is a lame excuse for not fully inspecting your purchase and that is being kind to you.

You ARE talking to members of this forum when you tell us that we are brainwashed and need knee pads when going to the dealer (other post of yours).

I don't own a Ford (yet) and have zero brand loyalty when it comes to vehicles. Your girlfriend comments are lame and lack intelligence.

It does not surprise me that you are an unhappy customer. You obviously did little to no DD on your purchase. Your statements are ramblings and offer nothing to the furtherment of this forum.

Sorry to the OP a.k.a Mr. Fat Wallet for jacking this thread.

You're gonna really like it. Interior looks nice from what I've seen in person so far.

I'm not a "ford guy" per say, up until 2 years ago I wouldn't have considered owning one, the end of 13 I needed a new truck to replace my 98 gmc 1500 2wd and like what ford had to offer, if they had a black xlt with the 5.0 I would have gone with that because I liked the v8 I had driven for 10 years, nothing on the lot so went with the Eco, the last two years with this truck have been excellent, never once in the shop for warranty yet my 14 honda ody has spent significant time in the shop for cv shafts, one on driver side and twice on the pass side, if you were to ask the gen pop what vehicle would generally be more reliable I think most would lean toward the honda, now I've come to love the Eco engine due to the power and the rush of the turbos and that option is not available any where else so in that sense ford is my only option right now, as far as xlt being more expensive this year is solely because there are more options then there have been in years passed, my 15 on order is around 46-47k basically loaded, this truck is directly comparable to an fx4 of the previous years models which retailed in Canada for 42-48k so I'm not sure where the big difference is, my truck I'm in now is a 13 302a and retailed for around 38k, you can easily outfit a lower end xlt with essentially the same options for a very similar price so just not seeing the huge hike in price you speak of....
I'm not a ford guy, owned nothing but GMC not Chevrolet. There's a difference. We needed a larger back seat that's it. Wife wanted a truck to call her own. So we buy a new one, ford. Great. I warn her, new generations are doomed. She says i don't care. Truck today, or I go buy an SUVs tomorrow.

I test drove the new Sierra hated it. They went up 10k last year for base model truck. I paid 22k for my 09 Sierra crew, 15 f150 32k. Trucks went up across the board 10k. Figured f*** it, if paying that much might as well buy a low end ford instead of a base Sierra I don't like. Everyone buys what they hope is a good dependable product or else we wouldn't buy them. It's just my observation that ford sold some people short with this new truck.

I'm a nice guy, very kind in public, have been on every ford service visit. But I love to argue on this stupid forum. I typically research new purchases, but didn't on the 15 cause ford has been a good product, and it's the only truck my wife would consider. Why argue with the wife?

If you read what I write, yes luxury trucks are a waste of money IMO. And yes we bought one cause she wanted an SUV in a truck bed. But what's flawed is large manufactures competing with each other to build useless product features, in order to raise prices. Gm didn't need a high country edition truck, but that competes with KR and platinums. So up goes the price, for the same truck, with some stupid trim pieces. Hell gm has a new headlight that doesn't even put out enough light, it sole purpose! Too much attention goes to different trim levels, when you should focus on the truck itself, and back your product with a warranty that's unheard of. Not a higher price tag to compete with others...

Consider your not buying this 2015 today. Would you buy a used 2015 in ten years with blis, and cameras, and adaptive cruise, cooling seats, moonroof? You think any of that is built to last? My idea of used is a 79 c-10. Not go go gadgets truck.

Ah yes, the high-horse gentlemen from F150Forum Financial Advisors have arrived!

You guys must be just losing sleep at night trying to figure out why Ford makes luxury trucks for people that can afford them. Does their ability to afford that truck affect you in any way? No, I don't think it does.

XLT's are great trucks with plenty of features. Should everyone be driving an XLT? Nope. I'm single and have only myself and my house to pay for so I decided to spring for a Lariat. And y'know what? I couldn't care less about what people think of my decision.

Look at a luxury F-150 as a separate entity. Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum F-150's are probably the most diverse everyday vehicle you can buy today. They manage to tick all of the boxes. They get good fuel economy (I've seen 20-24mpg in mine). They tow massive amounts of weight (Stuff that Superduty's were doing not so long ago), haul anything you need to haul, impress with luxury features and attention to detail and cart you to work and back in complete comfort while offering a huge cabin for your passengers. The powertrain noise, vibration & harshness levels are buttery smooth. And all of the luxury & attention to detail you expect from an $80,000-$90,000 SUV for $50,000-$60,000. You can't lose.

Even a working man should want better economy and power of a modern truck, a xlt with plastic seats and roll up window should still be available. At least they were last year

Tailgate same problem. Looks like a big belt buckle, or tramp stamp.

8 years of R&D on a rear backup assist ****. Congrats, while others breaks don't work, cruise assist slamming on the breaks, and you can't finish painting a complete truck we have solved cancer with a trailer backup technology that doesn't require thinking.

Logos in the seat option....nothing like laying your body on an emblem.

Congrats Ford, you've targeted the BMW, MB, Range Rover market. Next year make an all girl ford. Pink, purple, taller seats, lower dash, softer carpet, maybe an accessory console bag they can remove and take with them.

I always wanted to design cars since a child. Today's car design seems to be centered around greed and profits. Quantity over quality. Let's add a few more priceless options and call this same F150, limited and put a higher price tag to reflect the shiny letters on the hood. Didn't agree when GM did it with their trucks and I don't agree now. Build your base model truck right, before you concern yourself with "luxury" trucks.

But hey Americans welcome debt.

Tomorrow 10 year financing option will be available to purchase my sons first truck. Thanks.

I walked into a Timberland store to get some new work boots a few years ago. Apparently they are in style now and the guy had no idea what steel toed boots were used for. I left and refuse to buy any of their stuff again.

At least Carhartt is still true to their roots...for now anyways.

I think this truck segment changed with the intro of the crew cab. They're not just trucks anymore. They can haul families, friends, take us on vacations, all while doing some truck stuff. Most people with a house can use a truck. If "trucks" we're just "trucks" I'd have one parked somewhere and have something nicer for my DD.

With cars and SUVs they're are models that the average earner may never get to own. With trucks, in the past it wasn't as true, but it may be getting there. Maybe that bothers some folks. Hell, Donald Trump can't buy a truck nicer than most of us. I think they're may be a market for a truck that everyone can't buy. It doesn't seem to be the platinum.
