All you're looking at with the 360 camera is the dealership parking lot if the brakes go out or transfer case fails. I think what he's saying is this: Back to basics. When you can build a vehicle that functions/looks near perfect to the basic core of what a vehicle should be; then you start adding the eccentric gadgets and niche market fillers. As for the fine gentleman breaking down economics with a video game to vehicle comparison - Soon you'll have your cake and eat it too when eBay starts selling limited run vehicles with limited run video game consoles playing limited run games! How fun! Besides, what else to do while your vehicle is broke and you can't drive it? LAN PARTY!
I agree as well (for the most part)

One of my gripes about Ford these day,and a lot of the manufactures really, but find Ford is bad for it is,they move too fast with technology/designs.I know, doesn't sound like a bad thing but what i mean is,I find Ford will bring out a new technology, design or even a new engine. With new technology or new design or a new engine, you get kinks that need to be worked out over the course of some time.Over the course of those few years of perfecting, they will get it right, then they will turn around and they will kill that said technology/design/engine and then they are on to a new technology/design/engine with more new kinks to be worked out. So it's like the customer is always the test mule/guinea pig.

The new Limited F150s are beautiful,I would simply never get one because there is no 5.0 V8 option (so instead I would get a Platinum) but even one of those I would not get anytime soon with the amount of problems the 15-16s are having,I would shoot myself if I paid for a $70k MSRP vehicle only to have the reported problems/stress.
These days,it's all about having the latest and greatest/what the next guy has,for a lot of the population anyways.Ford knows this and that's why they are offering such premium trucks and changing them every few years so customers will trade up for the latest and greatest. Not great for the customer in the sense of finances, but great for Ford as its smart business, after all, they are in it to win it/make money.Cant blame them.

To end, this isn't to take anything away from anyone that wants to buy/bought a Limted or Platinum (I would like a Platinum myself).Weather something is worth it all depends on who's buying it.If it's worth it to you,it's worth it.Its all about what makes someone happy and that's all that matters.
