Looked up both of those TSB's. Mine was for 2017. The 2274 is for '18's, although it looks like the same procedure is done.
Need to check your build dates.

Interesting.

A couple of points:

1) I have no idea why a dealership would push back against doing this....these are all covered by the factory warranty and all the dealer does is bill Ford. I would be surprised if they weren't happy you came in.

2) I have zero complaints - in fact...it's one of the best drive trains I've driven. The shift logic "learns" - doesn't it? I mean, if you get it re-flashed...how long before it's adjusted to your driving style?

A couple hundred miles or less. Other than the updates, you, yourself can reset the KAM anytime you want. Sometimes that clears up some problems.

2018's have a TSB on the 10 speed... Of course my small Ford place couldn't find it yet. 5.0, 3.5 and 2.7 are all included. It is free under warranty.

It was a vast improvement from the very first run up through the gears. I was shocked that it shifted so much better before putting any miles on it at all.

Maybe I had way early programming since my 2018 was an October 2017 build. I dunno. But I am really glad I asked the dealer to update the PCM.

My 2018 truck has a 10/2017 build date.
This TSB applies to trucks manufactured on or before May of 2018.

Holy Mother of God what a difference. I simply cannot believe how much better this thing shifts.
Ask your dealer SPECIFICALLY for TSB 18-2274

Edit: I complained about the crappy shifting, lunging from 1-3, weird rubber band type fall into gear from 3-4 or 3-5
TSB was performed for free.
Thanks for the reply! I'll have a talk with my dealer about it. One other quick question:

When the dealer reprograms the transmission, does it have any affect on Forscan modifications? I would think they are only working in the TCM, but I wasn't sure if they just reflashed all the modules or not.

My truck was built in May of 2017 I would imagine it's the same TSB as you had done?FWIW besides the lunge shifting from 1-3 and the occasional 4-5 hesitation it shifts pretty good otherwise!!

Yes, mine was built then as well. Mine shifted good except for the same as yours.
