That's annoying. They should just do it if you request it. Mine doesn't shift hard at all, but I guess I'd still like the update, because...why not?

Mine was done at no cost after it was verified. If an '18 is doing it, it's likely covered under the same TSB/update.

I dropped my truck off last Friday for the seat belt tensioner recall and an oil change. I also asked my dealer to perform TSB 18-2274
My 2018 truck has a 10/2017 build date.
This TSB applies to trucks manufactured on or before May of 2018.
Holy Mother of God what a difference. I simply cannot believe how much better this thing shifts.
Ask your dealer SPECIFICALLY for TSB 18-2274
Edit: I complained about the crappy shifting, lunging from 1-3, weird rubber band type fall into gear from 3-4 or 3-5
TSB was performed for free.
