You paid $36.9K on an $51K MSRP 302a? That was a good deal.

I love my keyed ignition, but I agree. Keyless should be standard across the board, even in XL's. So should 4A. I can see Ford not only touting the more premium aspects of 4A for it's entire trim lineup, but bragging on the increased safety 4A provides. You could make the same argument for adaptive cruise. The funny thing is, someday all these things (and more) will be standard in even XL trucks. Due to competition, all car manufacturers have to keep raising the bar or at least meet the bar. It wasn't too long ago that things like power steering, power brakes or even a radio were options. A/C wasn't even an option you could order in lot of cases, now it's on every vehicle.

Someday we WILL see XL trucks with keyless start, 4A, LED headlights, BLIS, adaptive cruise, 360 deg cameras, etc. It's just a matter of how many years down the road.

Not having 4A as an option is unacceptable. This is potentially a safety issue IMO. Hold the comments on "well just slow down" or "learn to drive in adverse conditions". I feel like those same people that say this should have anti-lock breaks taken away. A computer can re-act way faster than a human in many situations. To have a system that could provide safety as an added option should never be limited to a trim level. Heck this could go for the 360 camera as well.

LED lights do not provide really much more safety that regular ones.
An upgraded FX4 package doesn't really add much to a daily driver situation.

The upgraded transfer case is a couple hundred more (if that) I think and the **** with the 4th option is too. If Ford knows people upgrade to the lariat just for 4A, then shame on them.

I wish I could have gotten my XLT 302A without chrome or sport packages.

Agreed that push-button, LED's, 4A, etc. should be a-la-carte items to select as options on any trim level...

Complaining about options - try having a regular cab.

I guess I'm at the other end of the spectrum. I would like to see manual locking hubs and a shifter on the floor for the transfer case. All mechanical, no electronics.
IWE issues would be a thing of the past.

Seriously? Well then, we should mandate every car on the road have full-time AWD! Who's going to pay for that? Not to mention the across the board MPG drop.

If your choices are 4A or a few hundred pounds of whatever material you want in the bed... go for the weight in the bed.

When do the next model year options/packages/colors get announced? A few months prior to orders being open? Which would be summerish?

My point was 4A isn't even an option and it should be. If you don't want it, you dont' have to get it. However, for Ford to not even have it as an option is just dumb. Fyi never did I mention anything about something being mandating all cars having full time AWD. I completely agree that it's not needed in all situations.

I wish they would make the LED lights standard from XLT to platinum. I like the look of the white lights with slight hint of blue. Not to mention they put out more light than the halogen bulbs and look better.

Agreed on lower trim level options.. GM was selling 2018 LT packages with leather, dual climate, power folding mirrors, 4A and LED lights for the same price as XLT's with none of that.
