Default I Wish FORD Would Hurry Up !!!

3 weeks ago this last Tuesday, (April the 24th), we ordered our truck.

So far, FORD hasn't given me a VIN, so I guess it isn't official yet !!!

Am tired of looking at "pictures" of a "like truck".

I guess the only consolation, is hopefully the rebates will increase !!!

Don't they go up on/before Memorial Day ??

You'll get your VIN this week...if not, it's because your dealer only orders once a week or he's out of allotment.

You will have a few milestones, throughout the order process, that will cause you to pace and increase your alcohol consumption! But, before you know it, she'll be in your driveway begging to be driven.

It's worth the wait!

I know, that I am "supposed" to have patience, but, ................................... LOL.

Has anyone heard of an increase in rebates?

I work in a dealership, and they tell me, that there will be nothing untill Memorial Day week-end.

HOWEVER, I've seen other things come to light here, WAY before my dealership knows it.

Thanx !!!!!!!!

Seems your dealer doesn't have an allocation yet. Once Ford accepts the order the VIN is a week or less.

Ford or any other manufacturers can build only so many vehicles at a time. So dealers get allocated order. The amount of orders (allocations) a dear gets for a week or month is based on sales history. So the issue may be your dealer does not have allocations for which Ford will accept an order. However this is unusual this late in the build cycle and such a high volume vehicle.

I ordered my truck on a Thursday and Monday afternoon I had a VIN. It was with a high volume truck dealer, about 100 trucks on the lot for sale.

Using the 14 Stingray for example on Allocations. Dealers who did not send a mechanic to a Stingray class and a salesman to a stingray class got Zero Allocations for the car for the model year. Same if that had not sold at least 5 Corvettes the year before. Yet unscrupulous dealers would take deposits for orders knowing they would never get the car, hoping the customer would settle for a Camaro.

Ask you dealer how many allocations he has for a truck? Ask him why you do not have a VIN yet. Ask him to show you the order, and when you will get a VIN
