Damn, talk about first world problems. If you really must get *exactly* what you want (and I get it, I'm picky too), you can pretty much add everything aftermarket. Hell, there are guys around here with XLTs that have installed multiple Platinum/Limited level features.

Well, I took your advice and went back and built a high end XLT, yes I can put saddle int. in it, and as others have said I "could" get the seats and console leather covered (this would give me the correct door panels A pillar and seat trim) and change out the bumpers, door handles, grille and paint the mirror caps, BUT, without the sport pkg, you LOSE the floor shifter, with the floor shifter in ANY configuration, you LOSE the saddle int!!! lol

My last 3 vehicles have had black interior. Tint the windows and it helps a ton. FYI, I am in eastern Kansas, never been to hot inside a vehicle for me.

I wanted LED lights and heated steering wheel and the lowest trim package is the 502a. Really Ford? SMH. However, I love my Platinum! Smooth, quiet, comfortable, fun to drive, and the seats are confy and the heated/cooling part actually works as advertised without making you feel like you wet your pants.

True. I have an XL that I now have Katzkins leather, a 10 way power seat, heated side mirrors with blinkers from an XLT, remote start, fender flares, box-link, etc that I installed after I bought it.

Kansas Transit, as you know how we pay our annual tags and taxes here in Kansas, the cost between a Platinum and XL truck in the same configuration is about $400 a year difference. See what I have done with my mods? Just as well equipped as a higher trim level and much lower cost overall. Also, I have sold most all my take off parts to a salvage yard locally. Sold them my wheels for $450 cash and mirrors for $100 cash to recover some of my initial cost on replacement parts.

I do know what you mean, but this truck would be in the company's name, so to a degree, it's a write off, that is why I really have no issue moving up, "IF" I could get what I wanted.
