Default I priced out a 2017 XL STX and its 5k cheaper than my 2016 XLT 302A Sport!

My 2016 stickered for 48k and some change.

The 2017 STX came out at only 43k and change!

Is there a point in buying the XLT Sport 302A anymore ?

I think you will find some significant differences between them. I don't even think power seats are an option on the STX ( I could be wrong )

Seriously, these arent even close to the same truck. Dont get me wrong, I like the STX package but it doesnt have anywhere near what a 302A truck will....

Your point is what exactly? That a 101A is cheaper than a 302A?

You are comparing Apples and Oranges.
Both XL and XLT offer a Sport Trim (20" Wheels Optional on Each)
The XLT equivalent to STX is the Special Edition.

A 2017 Supercrew 4x4 Lariat 500A is only $47,535 MSRP.
I think the fact that a Lariat is cheaper would bother me more.

It's not after accounting for rebates and pricing flexibility.

The cosmetic upgrades on the STX make it an attractive option for those that don't need the extras.

The same also applies with the extra margin on XLT over the XL. Throw in the often extra rebate on XLT plus occasional extra rebate on Chrome/Sport Packages and the same price point can get very crowded.
