I know your out there. Who's modded their oem headlights?
I have factory led headlights that I'm thinking of modding myself. I plan on painting the internal black and maybe adding a diode dynamics switch black leds for the C bar. Who's done it? Any advice that you would mine sharing about the process? Would you do it again? Anyone running the diode dynamics switchbacks? Pics would be great. Just looking to save some cash rather than buying new SE headlights.
The SE ones will set you back about 1800 + shipping (as another user did the mod in another thread)

My issue with sending them out is that I won't have a set to put on the truck.
True but how long do you expect it to take yourself to bake, disassemble, prep, tape, paint, install the diode dynamics c bar upgrade, finish, seal, and reassemble? What you are considering doing is not an easy task nor will it be quick. It can be done but it's going to take you, at the minimum, 7 days. Door to door for precision retrofits is 2 weeks just FYI. But not saying you can't do it yourself, you absolutely can. Just laying out the options!
