I've owned 4 GM trucks (04, 06, 11 with the 6.2, and a 2014). All my dad drove was Chevrolet. I never thought I'd see the day when I stepped on to a Ford lot to look at trucks. Well, my 2014 was "ok" but the seats and driving position were very uncomfortable. I never could get used to it and I absolutely HATE the new front ends of the Chevy trucks. I considered GMC but the seats and seating position would be just as bad, so I started sorta looking around. I have a friend that recently left Chevy and bought a brand new 16 F150 3.5 ecoboost. I really liked that truck! So I finally found what I wanted (silver FX4 SCREW 2.7 with 3.55 gears in the 301a package). Contacted my local dealer and we exchanged a few emails and he called me later and said "what would it take for you to come buy today?". I gave him a number and number for my trade. He said "you want a free Yeti cooler too?". Nope, just take the cost of that off the truck and we have a deal. Showed up, signed the papers after a test drive and I'm now a first time F150 owner!
I know the feeling. I bought my first Ford in 2000 and traded the truck away and went back to my Chevy Silverado, but in 2013, I got a smoking deal on a new Lariat 4x4 and loved the truck and then wanted a new truck, so went over in Feb 16 and bought a 16 Lariat 4x4.

Smart move! You will be more impressed with the 2.7 every day, it's an over-achiever for sure! I love showing my GM & Dodge truck buds my ave mpg screen (currently 23.1), and then dusting them to 60!
