I have to say...I don't get it. (why the "stickers"?)
I love Ford trucks.
I think the 2015 will be incredible.
However, one thing I just don't get is why manufacturers brand their trucks with a big adhesive ~sticker~ on the rear panel (FX4, STX, 4x4, etc)? I realize other manufacturers do the same to their trucks, but they all seem to look bad after a few years. Invariably the sticker will be damaged and make the truck look old, even though everything else wears so well.
Why don't manufacturers badge these trucks with something that looks better? Heck, Mr. Manufacturer, you're selling close to a million of these trucks a year--have a nice molded piece made up or incorporate it into the F150 badge.
We have $40K, $50K, and $60K trucks with reverse cameras, blind spot indicators, massaging seats, LED lighting, state-of-the-art engines, self parking, adaptive cruise, and....wait for it....a big *** sticker stuck to the side.
I don't get it!*

I got the dealership to take off all the stickers on mine. Part of the sale agreement was that the dealer remove all stickers off the sides of vehicle and the hood before pick up. This way if anything happens to the paint at all they are responsible. Mine is a 2013 fx4 with the appearance package, I liked everything that came with the package except the awful stickers. I will be making the same request when I order my 2015

i had the left side of the bed repainted on my 08 and the sticker had to come off.
So i asked to remove both. I like it, although it was just a 4x4 sticker. It didn't look to bad either!!
When I was ordering the new '15, we were discussing the options and the FX4 package. I mentioned how i didn't like the FX4 logo as I really didn't care for it. Salesman said it's good to have it, because it breaks up the actual length of the truck...157" WB

On cars I have owned I take off everything I can when I 1st buy it
My truck has the sort of "see-thru" 4x4 near the rear of the truck, I left it
With a red truck 9 years later I'm not taking them off now
I did take the dealer sticker off, should have had them do it
I'm just now getting to replacing the bid FORD emblem on the front, rear will be next

I just took the 4x4 stickers off the sides of the box...
and as to why a sticker and not a better-looking badge? that's an easy one, cost!
Sticker = 5cts, if that. Badge= $ 1, maybe more? x 700,000 trucks per year = huge savings!
