Seeing threads like this makes me want to save up for a hard corps bumper that could take the hit. Like an Iron Bull or something.

It wouldn't have helped a lot in this case. He hit right on the right front corner of the truck and I ran over him with the right front wheel. I don't know how the passenger mirror got wiped out, or how a small dent was in the bottom front of the front passenger door. Only thing I can figure is a leg/hoof flipped up when going past.

They have options for full grill and light guards for their bumpers. The full guard would have helped. I almost hit 2 deer within a week last year in the mountains of NC near Boone.

I've heard of that happening many times which is why I was wondering if this deer survived....

These are more commonly known as damage multipliers... Fine for slow speed bumps, but hit a large animal on a country road or highway, and now your entire front end is toast, even if you just clipped it on the corner... They are entirely just for show in most cases...

@SlowTrucker Mine is a Ranch Hand, the dealer actually said they have installed a few of them. He is in Franklin Tn and he said that they do have one that works with the sensors and camera. Here is the one I have:

When you consider where they attach to, the tow hook location, there really isn't much to prevent it from doing like pictured when something hits high enough on them. I had one om y 99 F350 and wondered what would happen if I hit something well above the bumper, and I guess these pics show that clearly.
I think I would rather just having the front end crunched, than possible frame damage, but that's just me.
OTOH there are times I wish I had one of these big ugly suckers so I could push stupid drivers out of the way. Put down the phone and drive!

Those look more like horse/cattle strikes to me...
@CommoSGT: Thanks, but that link does not go to a Ranch Hand push bar. However it does go to a product group I have had interest in.
That being said, it does look like I have been talking to the janitor.
Now if I can get a little more education from blackriveral...
You guys seem to be talking about different products and dummies like me cannot sort it out.
