Nope, I was concerned I had a hole in my radiator so I jumped back in the truck after I determined it was safe to drive it and headed into the town that was about 5 miles away. Wanted to make it to civilization and lights for a better look before I ran out of coolant and overheated. I did not have a leak so I finished my business and drove it 60 miles home. The deer was gone when I drove past where I hit it. The road had a huge, 10' diameter blood spot where it was lying on the highway centerline. 🤤

It was a relatively hard "bump" but due to the deer only weighing maybe 200 lbs, and being soft and yielding, I don't think the airbags should have deployed.

it is pretty common for deer not to trigger airbags.

I had my father in law in the truck as well, and nobody was hurt. It was on a 2 lane, rural highway with fairly heavy commuter traffic. The deer "appeared" right at the edge of the highway. I had time to slam on the brakes and move to the left as far as I could before it stepped right in front of the truck and I centerpunched it with the right front corner of the truck.

I will be out there tomorrow morning to see if I can exact a little revenge! I haven't had time to do much bowhunting and haven't gotten one yet.

Trick is, where's the sensor. If the impact doesn't hit the sensor, the truck is blissfully unaware that an impact might have happened. Some vehicles use multiple sensors to determine the severity of the impact to help the RCS figure out if the airbags need to be deployed or not, or which airbags to deploy.
Of course without having the truck here to actually see it.. Looks like 20k to me. Fender, fender support, wheel well liner, wiring harness, headlight assembly, looks like the rad support is damaged, hood, grille, active shutter system, rh mirror, rad valence, headlamp support bracket.
