I got a big 10 pt buck on Monday night

......just not the way I wanted to get it!

I was probably going about 40 mph when I center punched it with the right front corner. The truck and the deer were both a mess. The airbags did not deploy. I figure there will be $10k on damages. A quick glance shows I will need a grille, intercooler louvers, bumper, bumper reinforcement, condensor, likely a radiator, hood, fender, passenger mirror, headlight, fog light, and lots of miscellaneous plastic and metals parts behind the grille. It was NOT a good night.https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...a2654b979c.jpg

Ouch! Hope everyone's okay. Wife did it twice this year...I keep telling her hunting is a much cheaper alternative!

In the end this is what's important. Wondering your thoughts on if you think the bags should have deployed.

Will be curious as to the final total for the repair.

I had a very close call last night. I slowed way down, the stupid deer just stopped on the side of the road and I was worried it would run back across behind me (or into my side).

I flashed my headlights and hit my brakes a ton of times to try to warn the oncoming traffic and vehicles behind me to slow way down.

Wow!

When I saw the thread title I had a bad feeling this was going to be the outcome.

A friend of mine stopped to help a lady a couple days a go that hit one in her car. It was an 8-10 pointer ( I couldn't see it well enough) and it was "sitting" in her front passenger seat!

Glad you are okay!

5x5 or 4x6?

As soon as I saw the tittle, I knew there was going to be carnage. Glad everyone is safe. Interested to see how long and how much $$$ to fix.
