Trick is, where's the sensor. If the impact doesn't hit the sensor, the truck is blissfully unaware that an impact might have happened. Some vehicles use multiple sensors to determine the severity of the impact to help the RCS figure out if the airbags need to be deployed or not, or which airbags to deploy.
Of course without having the truck here to actually see it.. Looks like 20k to me. Fender, fender support, wheel well liner, wiring harness, headlight assembly, looks like the rad support is damaged, hood, grille, active shutter system, rh mirror, rad valence, headlamp support bracket.

Good hit, but at least you walked away from it. Had you been driving some little car, the outcome might have been different!

Looks like one of these would have left you with limited or no damage. It's heavy and ugly as sin but will deflect most Missouri deer. Glad you were not harmed except in the wallet'

I was driving back from Springfield, MO tonight and got a 6 point along the way. Was running about 75 and saw him just as he was in front of me. Slammed on the brakes, but still hit him doing about 35. I pretty much hit him dead center and saw him bounce and slide into the ditch as I came to a stop. After checking to make sure the family was ok, I jumped out to see what the damage was, expecting to see what the OP had, but to my surprise, I only lost the center plastic out of my bumper and my license plate. I walked back to get my license plate and look for the deer, but he was long gone.
As I walked back up I could smell some plastic burning, looked around and found the bulb on one of my driving lights was out of the housing, but the lens and housing was fine, but the bulb was burning plastic behind the inner wheel well, so I quickly shut off the driving lights and the smoke stopped.
Already ordered a new plastic piece and license plate mount, will open up the inner wheel well tomorrow to see what I need to do with the driving light. The damage is well below my deductible, so plan to just fix it all myself.
Edit: daylight inspection shows lots of broken plastic, in the grill and it's subframe, drivers side of the bumper looks pushed back too, just filed an insurance claim.
