Yeah mine will not do it at all once its below 3/4 of a tank. but it definitely sounds like you have the same issue.

How is everyone stopping when it happens? Slow gradual stop or a quick stop where the truck rocks more? If I stop quickly and firm I can make it happen every time from 3/4 to 1/2 tank. I can also make it happen in reverse.

I feel like I can cause this to happen more when I stop quick and firmly, but it gets so apparent at points where I could just creep a foot or so at a stoplight over and over again and it will do it every time with a soft braking.

I think this is because you are getting the fuel in the tank to move, causing wave after wave to happen.

I wonder if the expansion and contraction of the plastic g as tank plays a part too. When the level is lower does the gas tank itself slam around in the brackets.

It's fuel slosh folks, just move on and enjoy driving your truck. It's not that big of a deal.
