I know, it's a little off topic. Just a little.

Have you tried this? I'm curious how this works since the this is my first vehicle with an electronic brake switch instead of a lever. How much damage are we talking here that can be done in doing this "emergency procedure"?

This is sounding more and more like a design or engineering fault rather than a failure. I would be surprised if it ever gets resolved (or even needs to be). I’m happy that my truck doesn’t do it, yet, but would love to have a shot at diagnosing it.

I have this exact same problem, with a 2016 5.0.. I think I figured a way to stop it/tame it. I was using 93 octane I switched down to 87 octane and it seems to be gone. I will check later on to see if I still have it
the shake was super obvious whenever I was pulled over at a light or parked somewhere with the engine on.

2016 XLT Supercab with 8' bed. 5.0, 36 gallon tank and rear locker.
I randomly have the same "shudder" when coming to a stop. It lasts for a
I also had a similar problem with a 2000 F150 (long bed as well).
In both cases I wrote it off as fuel sloshing.
In both cases I'd done something with the gas tank.
The 2000 required gas tank replacement and new straps.
I replaced the factory straps with the ones that allowed me to mount a skid plate. Factory parts throughout, but it doesn't change the fact that I replaced them.
I'd thought my problem was related to a loose strap or something until I stumbled across this thread.

I only use 87
On a good note, The mechanic called me yesterday and he ordered a new fuel tank, now my first reaction is why the **** are you gonna replace the fuel tank? I cant see that changing anything unless the design of the fuel tank changed itself. BUT!!! I realized what he is doing, He got Ford to okay the replacement of a fuel tank, and because of that he will have to inspect everything else in order to do the swap. Thus hopefully finding the real issue!

I am going to take mine in. Full tank of gas driving all over yesterday it happened on multiple stops. I also get a nice clunk if I get off the gas around 30mph then tap it. Stop and go traffic is the worse.
