Default I don't want to embarrass my friend but....

My friend bought a used 2013 Silverado Z71 with the 5.3 about a month after I bought my 2016 FX4 2.7 ecoboost. I don't think he understands exactly what the "ecoboost" is because he keeps making cracks "that little tiny V6 with a turbo on it (2 actually *evil laugh*) ain't nothing". I have never talked up my truck about how quick it is or anything, I just tell him I love it and don't miss my 5.3 at all (had an 04 and a 14). He wants to race me but I don't want to embarrass him because he's still in the honeymoon phase with his truck and I know I would easily dominate him because I know his 5.3 is a dog compared to my truck. Maybe I should let him ride with me sometime so he can see what he's getting himself into and that the "little 2.7 ecoboost" maybe half the size of his engine but will destroy it.

Anyone else have friends that doubt what these trucks can do?

I have a few Chevy and Toyota friends. We're still friends. They all love how much Ford has stepped up the game with the build of our rigs.

He's diehard Chevy and I used to be until I realized Ford made a better truck since 2014-current. I honestly don't think I'll ever go back because the gap is that far apart for me between F150 and the GM twins. I think he's still dealing with the fact that I ditched GM and went to Ford and have zero complaints after 8 months. I even told him my next truck is another F150 if they don't screw anything up, I'm that sold on it.

I think that instead of fighting against each other about which engine is the best in our trucks, we should look out more and compare ourselves with the competition more.

My last Chevy engine was a 5.0L 2 bl in 1978. I then drove another chevy 2bl V-8 305 in 1986. My Ford v-8s were a 1993 F-150 5.0L 302 and now a Coyote v-8 5.0L/302.

Now, the Chevy Silverado develops 355 hp and the Coyote 385hp....the Ram and Tundra are both gas pigs and bigger..

Please, no more 3.5EB vs Coyote fights, or 2.7EB WTF...lets repulse the opponent's attack.
At work, I got 3 of my employees driving chevy pickups, vs myself...nice funny bragging rights discussions and ****-off matches.

Quietly put a beating on him and catch it on video. Upload it to youtube and that should humble him.

I'm trying to get the point across to him by letting me pull his boat with my truck, but he insists on pulling it with his. I want him to see how effortlessly the F150 will tow his center console boat while his truck revs to the heavens like all my GM's did while towing.

It is hard to comprehend that the 2.7 can match and beat most of the v8 engines. I mean its not much bigger than some motorcycle engines....

Better have a video when it happens. No stories needed

If it's OK for him to keep making cracks about your truck why be do worried about making his truck look like a turd? Sounds like he's been asking for what's coming.
