Default I don't have nav, but...

I have a 2015 XLT with My Ford Touch. I do not have the factory nav, but something weird happens when my iPhone syncs at startup. As the sync finishes, I get a traffic message on the iPhone screen telling me traffic is light and how long the drive home will be.

Any feedback on what's going on here?

Thanks.

That is an iPhone bonus with the last update, at least that is when mine started doing it, it isn't related to the truck.

Thank you for that quick response. I have since Googled the subject and read an article on the subject. It's kind of creepy that the iPhone is stalking me and anticipates where I am headed.

Well crap, I've been wondering where this was coming from but never looked it up. I only get this when I'm in my F150 so I assumed it was something I accidentally set up.

Google how to turn it off. Can't remember off the top of my head but you can.

Your iPhone is paying attention to where you go and stay (it probably knows where you live from your home address in your contact). It is anticipating where you will go and offering some traffic info based on a guess about where you are most likely headed. It isn't car related, other than being triggered by getting in the car (and connecting to bluetooth probably).

You can turn if off.

Google Now on Android does this. Very convenient before you leave for work.
