"out of their arsses"-Yeh, I never heard of a "$2000 rebate for walking away"? If that was the case I'd be having them owe me money to buy... What was you equipment list and price point not including sales tax? It sounds real close (mine is sport not chrome, no liner or step, has ex.tank and lock axle) to what I ordered-we all search validation on our deals, don't we? FWIW, we all switch from "something to something", do we not? After 4 Tundras in a row I ought to be "that guy" that Ford pays to have changed? Ford, are you listening???Thanks, anyway.
The truck has the following equipment: 8" FordMyTouch, navigation, backup camera, remote start, heated front cloth seats, rear electric sliding window, rear window defroster, heated side mirrors, adjustable pedals, chrome package (wheels, steps, grill, handles), Sirius, bed liner, tailgate step, and reverse sensing system. I'm probably forgetting some stuff, since it's still new.
MSRP WAS 47,600. The dealer added $3500 of "Dealer Markup". I negotiated from the MSRP, not the markup. So, minus $3400 to match the Costco price, $1000 switch program, plus the mysterious $2000 rebate....brought me to $41,200. I unfortunately had to work in a few grand in negative equity on my trade. Out the door, before tax and license was right around $47,000.
Probably overpaid, but thought I did the best I could for buying a brand new model year off the lot.
You only live once I say.
