Default Husky Wheel well liners and Firestone Airbags

Well, today I learned that after I installed my Firestone Ride Rite airbags that the Husky liners are going to need a good bit of trimming. Just thought I would let y'all know if you are thinking of this set-up. I will post pictures after I trim them out.

I'm going through the same experience today… time to cut up the Husky liners.

Not much cutting is needed and fortunately the Husky rubber/plastic is easy to cut. I used a small narrow tooth hand saw for the vertical cuts and a box cutter razor for the horizontal cut, then used a small file to clean up the edges a little. I cut just enough to give clearance for the rubber on the airbag making sure not to pierce the airbag during the cutting process. Approx. 5" x 5" square cut is what I did, nothing fancy.

Ford liners need trimming too, not much but some. Not a big deal took me about 2 min of trimming per side, can't even tell once on the truck.
