How can you state "...the variable is the installer." when you haven't seen mine? The passenger side on my set would not "spoon" against the fender well. It would only sit crooked and that made the outer lip mismatch against the fender lip. The fit was ridiculously off.

I beat the lip into place but then the curved part was bowed. As stated before, the liner would not flatten out to a relaxed position.

Obviously, the plastic fender liner must have shifted (or placed wrong) in the mold during the manufacturing process, causing the outer edges to be off center. That would explain why the holes were crazy off center.

Definitely a quality control issue, whatever you may think.

Pecked out on my iPhone.

Update:

I spoke with Amazon about my situation and asked them to send me a box since I already threw mine out. They told me to keep the liners and just gave me my money back.

I also recommended that they look into the number of returns they're receiving on the liners they sold for $59 to see if there's a pattern and they said they would. Not sure if Amazon actually will, but I tried..

Darn, I'm ordering the mud flaps next. Are you saying you have to take the liners out to install the mud flaps.

I had to. I think the top flap hole gets covered. You can put a hole in the liner. I put my flaps on and then my liners. It's been a while but I believe keeping your flap loose helps and then tightening at the end. Warming up the liner is the only way to go.

I have Fox Shocks that I have been waiting to install. Should I install the shocks first, or can you install the liners first and still access the shocks? Reading these negative posts makes me want to install the liners sooner rather than later so I can return them if they don't fit...

Thanks.

I also ordered these. Total garbage.... not even close to fitting properly. I have already sent them back. I got a pair of OE from the local dealer today and fit like a glove. Installed in 15 minutes... I guess you get what you pay for.

Purchased a set of Husky wheel well liners from Amazon Prime back in January 2017 and installed in Wisconsin. Temp was 25 to 30 degrees in the garage but let the heat gun make them pliable before the fun began. They went in with some effort no "F" bombs, or G dam!t cry outs...., just a little strategic pressure to get them to go into place and line up. Did not remove the tires btw. Maybe angled 1 or 2 screws 3/4 inch to capture the back nuts. Install rating 2 out of 5 with 5 being most difficult.

Just my $0.02.

Kevin-

Besides the heat gun (I used the sun!), this is exactly my experience with these liners. No regrets, great value at the price paid.... total install time was probably 20 minutes, 15 of which being the passenger side which finally complied with my demands.

I give it 2 out of 5 as well. Can't go easy with them. Need to show them who's boss. Glad I did it and satisfied with Husky.
