Humming Noise Vibration - Need Your Help in Diagnosing!

My 2018 Lariat has been at the dealership for just shy of a month now. I first noticed a noise/grinding about 2 miles after shifting into 4wd on a snow covered mt. road. I put it back to 2H and the noise would go away and then come back again. I took it into the dealership, the technician hooked up microphones under the truck to pinpoint where the noise was coming from. The pointed to the front differential. The technician cracked the differential and found metal shavings and several broken parts. They were baffled as to what could have caused it. They have ordered spare parts and it should be fixed by the 7th under warranty. I am the second owner. I have only put just over 2000 miles on it and up to a month ago had not used the 4wd. Truck has just over 17K on it. Not sure if I inherited someone else's problem or if it was just a freak thing. I am happy with the technicians ability to diagnose and find the issue on the first try. My fear was that I would take it in and they would tell me it was normal!

2018 F150 Lariat 5.0
Hi guys
I have an issue with my 2018 F150
I have a humming noise coming from the front end of the truck.
Issue happens between 40 and 50mph only.
It does that with 4x4 on or off and if the gas pedal is pressed in or depressed it des not matter.
It sounds more when making left turns.
Dealer replaced my tires to Michelin LTX , all 4x4 components including solenoid , air houses and wheel actuators
After that both front hub bearings (twice) and rear drive shaft.
At this point we ran out of options.
Does anybody had similar issue?
Any idea what else may be wrong?
Dealer called factory tech as well but no luck.
I had my truck at the two dealerships for 3 moths now.
Nobody can figure it out.

However, it sounds like a wheel bearing to me.

If it isn't the IWEs partially still engaging it leaves the front diff but, that doesn't turn much in 2WD and I would suspect it would get worse in 4WD. Could be the TC but, with it getting louder while turning, I'd highly doubt it.
I still say bearing or IWE stuck. New IWEs have been reported as coming with to much grease packed in them and thus inhibits/slows the movement of them.

Unfortunately, I have to raise another possibility: Are you sure dealer did the bearing job right??? I'd raise the truck, roll the wheels, and find out. Also grab the tire and try to rock it, checking for any play; there should be none. Good luck.

Okay, see if you can move each half shaft fairly easily with the truck running and in 2WD. Both should turn freely and smoothly. Repeat in 4H. You should not be able to move either half shaft. Also check the connector where the rubber line from the IWE (check both sides) connects to the plastic line. This should rule in or out the IWEs being the cause.
