Are you still available for questions? I have a few about my F-150 & what you did to yours.

Well I got ready to do the factory LED tail light swap/install and ran in to a couple snags/questions maybe someone could help a brother out.

#1...The view shown at the start of this thread of WPT-1279 just for clarification of the wire ID numbers, is that view with the wires nearside or far side from you?

#2... Do I need the extended license to make the change to LED using forscan?

After reading this thread several times there seems to be a concern over resistor temps. Mine is a DD and I may spend several minutes with the brakes on in stop n go traffic so I figured using forscan would eliminate that temp issue.

If I'm correct changing from 726-27-02-0000-0157 to 726-27-02-0000-0057 eliminates the need for resistors. I assume it was in the body control modular but I got a red flag saying I needed a different license when I tried to enter it.. Was I in the right place?

Ford pin outs are looking at the face of the plug.
This wiring will work for both sides

Well after messing with this for the past 2 days I have to admit I need some guidance trying to wire up LED with blind spot..

With everything wired the pass side seems to work as it should if both lights are suppose to flash when the hazards are on. I have wired everything as shown in the start and double and quadruple checked.

My problem is when I turn on the ds blinker both ps & ds parking or outer lights start flashing. No blinker. Dash flashes normal no hyper flashing. If I turn on the parking lights they stop and the parking light stay lit. Still no blinker...The resistor on the ps gets warm, driver side nothing.
I have grey/orange on pin 2, blu/gry on pin 3. Why turning on the right blinker makes both running lights start blinking has me stumped.

I have all connection temporarily wire nutted so I know all connections are good.

Everything is factory new, lights, new sylvania resistors, bulb pig tails and OEM adapters. I even switched sides to be sure it wasn't the lights...

I could use help on this one... Got too much time and money in it now to back off... This 2 hour job is going on 2 days and I'm running out of light before I have to put it all back...

Thx

Anyone used this conversion harness from Ebay? I'm assuming it's somebody here on this forum selling them for $250? This is gonna be my route when I pull the trigger on this project. I'm still waiting to see if the 2018 tail lights will plug and play.
