Just as another plot point on the chart: I paid $36,000 (before TTL) for an XLT Screw 5.0 2WD 6.5 bed 302A 36gal tank. I'm still trying to decide if left a grand or two on the table...

However, the $36k price was agreed to by me and the salesman on an truck I test drove from his lot but it had the 5.5 bed. My sales guy kept trying to push the 5.5 but I was adamant I wanted the 6.5 bed. Sight unseen for both of us, he agreed to get a 6.5 from another dealer and stay at $36k. The truck I got had all windows tinted, wheel locks and a drop in bed-liner. Maybe I came out okay after all.

Michigan tax is 6% also.

Here's the truck I want. 5.0 XLT Sport 302a SCab 4WD

MSRP of $44,600. Current rebates & A-plan get it to $34,786. Add wheel locks and Line-X makes it $35,341. After taxes & fees it comes to $38,002.

Not sure how much of a deal I got, but my truck's MSRP (before discounts) was $50,485.. which I think is INSANE for a XLT without Nav and Cloth seats... After rebates, discounts, etc I believe I got it for $38,XXX.. which is better, but still more than I thought a truck should be.

This sounds very similar to my deal. Not sure if its the best deal I could have gotten but I'm happy.

MSRP on mine was ~$49K, XLT w/302A, FX4, 2.7L, 20" PVD's, Spot Light Mirrors and console.

Got a 36 mo. lease, nothing down, 12K miles/yr for $399 mo.
