The way I see it right now, you're paying sticker or close to have the first '15.(granted no one will want a job 1 truck next year, look at those back door panel gaps) in a few months, there will be a fK ton of them on the road and now you owe far more than it's worth to be cool. Look at the new mustang.... Now that they're out and about, it's just a mustang. Not worth it to me financially to be cool and have the first! I'd take a 14 tomorrow at how low they're selling them, but it's not worth it as I owe next to nothing on my 11
I don't care though. Bottom line is do what you want. Douchey comments like "you're just jealous cause you can't have the new one" are stupid, wanna go tell mommy on me too while you're at it? Immature. Go buy the new truck and don't be a douche about it lol

You act like I came to the late model truck section to go rag on people for not having a newer truck!?
You and others clearly have your mind made up- your not buying this truck.
Yet you people are all over the '15s section of the forums bashing this...saying people paid too much for that...here's why I'm not buying '15 etc...
What purpose can It serve for you other than the ones I stated?
Just gets old seeing this over and over in different posts...

what they said-the deals are not as good as they appear
My old truck is a 2010, bought new in May 2009 & when I sell it now it is a 2010 truck to the marketplace and it actually has a used book (average of various sources) value of $6-7,000 less than when new & throw in I've driven it for nearly 6 years. Throw in that true street value is higher than book value too! I have it sold at $22,000 K which is $3k over average book trade-in. Not all based on the trucks "real value" but from the government printing too much money to keep interest rates down and help the economy to "appear" to be ok.
The sad part of the numbers game is I must spend $40 K on my new Ford (similarly set up) to replace what I paid $28,900 for in 5/2009. I researched prices on several web sources & many are asking used more than I paid new. Now, try & tell me they don't make any money off new buyers.
I'll stay with a 2015-"sweeter" truck to me.
BTW, why pay sticker for these trucks?

I don't understand how some buyers view their trade-in as a discount on their new vehicle. It's not a discount, it's actually a down payment. Not in the form of check or a wad of cash, but still a down payment. Unless of course, they're upside down, then it's neither.

You will never recoup the cost of having the latest and greatest. In 2 yrs the newness of the design will be gone and big payment remain. As a depreciating asset buy the one that does the job for the least amount possible.
That being said I would get a 15 too if I had the resources.

I could have afforded a 2014 or a 2015 really. I wasn't purchasing another first year production vehicle like the 2010 Taurus. That thing was a nightmare and I had told myself never a Ford again. I'm hoping there is less chance of that happening in the 2014 over the 2015. Or at least maybe I bought one and it turns into "goodluck" vs. "Badluck". At least that's how the last one made me feel

If you ever wondered why some trades are way overvalued on a car order(or in the "value book"-that's why the black book is used by pros,or at least it used to be that way) , it's to get the deal rightside up "in theory". Even with highend, ritzy cars many buyers have zilch going on financially but seem to drive nice stuff. BMW has a retail incentive program for recent college grads, which I thought were all broke? Of course I'm supposed to help them pay off those student loans too. Me, I drove junkers to pay off our place & raise our kids-no subsidies.

Well I offered 35,000 for the 2014 ( sticker 48,000 ) and they came back with $40,000 and said $35,000 would never happen. So I will wait a few weeks and try again.Starting to think a 2015 might be in my future lol.

Own a 2003 & it had been repainted when I bought it in 2010. There are certain areas that even very well maintained trucks were popping paint all in the same area.
