Clearly, Ford is only interested in promoting the EcoBoost engines. I hope that isn't a corporate decision that hurts them as more light diesels enter the market segment.

As for the lack of exterior markings, I removed the Flex Fuel badge from my tailgate and replaced it with an old-school chrome V8 logo from Ford Racing Parts.

Wow, that's great!
How did you remove the FF badge?
Where did you get the new badge? >> found one on EB for $6. Is yours a sticker or plastic emblem similar to the FF badge?

TIA,
TomJV

I got 3 of those Coyote badges for $11 on ebay.

FF badge can be removed with fish line and heat gun.

I purchased mine from www.yatesperformance.com I haven't removed flex fuel emblem yet. I believe it is an emblem and not a sticker (that's why I haven't removed flex fuel yet) I'll let you know how it looks when it arrives today. They also have a black/blue one as well

Hi there! Check the dimensions of it. You'll be 'so surprised' when you received it. I bought a couple back in February on eBay for $10, I think... Once I got them, they are aluminum emblems that easily bends and it's 3" X 0.25"! I just laughed at my disappointment. =]

This one is supposedly 5 3/4" where the stock flex fuel emblem is 6 1/2". I stayed away from eBay purposely, chances are it is cheap and flimsy but I'll take the $10 risk. That's why I left the stock emblems on for now. I'll receive it today and post pics up and let you guys know if it's a piece of crap or not.

Yeah its definitely not like a bulky emblem like the flex fuel, its an aluminum strip that is stamped and painted with a 3m strip on the back. I've heard they last a year or two before fading. Mines been on for I think around 7 months and looks like the day I bought it. I bought a few at once just so I have extra if I end up needing to replace it. Still looks good, but dont be fooled

There is a certain amount of truth to this though. You can get 25MPG depending on how your truck is configured. You just can't do it while your going "scary fast." Granted I think going fast with these is really only accomplished through tuning, but you can make an F150 go fast enough to get scary. You can even make them out accelerate a lot of stuff on the road.
