Question How does this raise...

Rough Country 2 inch leveling kit
How does this raise the front end 2 inches? It’s a Rough Country 2 inch leveling kit.

I’ve got a 2019 Ford F-150.

Its because of suspension geometry. While it extends your strut by 1 1/4 , the end of the lower control arm will get pushed down about 2”, I’m sure if you stop and think about it for a second it will make sense.

Thank you. I’ll be honest, I’ve never dealt with suspensions until now.

As as long as I can keep my stock 20 inch wheels and run 33x12.5x20 tires, I’ll be happy.

You’re welcome! I’m still learning too, but it sounds doable. I knew nothing about coils until having this F150. Every truck I’ve owned was solid front axle. Once you rip it apart you’ll be a pro in no time.

i won’t be the one doing it, that’s for sure. I’ve got a friend that’ll be helping me that’s done a lot of these.

Don’t think you need a level to run that size tire. There are guys on here running 35’s with a 2” level and stock rims with spacers.

I’d rather not use spacers. This is my goal.

The strut is in the middle of the control arm. The tire is at the end. It doesn't have to be 2 inches to lift the front 2 inches.

Triangles man... This is not to scale, and it is a very crude illustration job, but it helps explain the geometry of front suspension and why the spacer is not a 1:1 ratio to lift height.
In my experience, the RC level kit yields 2.25" of front lift.
