how do I connect my Ipod to Sync
I have a 2017 F150 King Ranch with Sync 3. I attached my Iphone no problem. I have all my tunes on a separate Ipod Touch. I connected it to the second HDMI port in the front console (immediately below where I connected my iphone). The Ipod is charging but is not being recognized as a device on Sync Audio. Have I missed a step? How do iget Sync or Sync 3 to play the music on my Ipod? Many thanks.

Are you connecting the ipod after the iphone is already connected? It says it will only connect that way to the first thing connected.
Could also connect via bluetooth.
Also, is the ipod touch a device that's been stated it would work w/ sync3?

I had the same issue...I think you can only have one connected to work through the Sync. I have two items too..one I use for my GPS and the other for my tunes...but its one or the other, so I ended up downloading Pandora onto my GPS phone so I could listen to tunes.

UPDATE: The problem turns out to be that my ipod has an outdated Operating System. So I tried my ipad and it worked!! So to be clear, I have my iphone plugged into USB 1 and it connects with SYNC 3 without any issues. My ipad is connected to USB 2 and is recognized by SYNC as a device and my music, playlists etc, show up when I select"John's Ipad" So the issue was the outdated OS on my ipod.

Similar issue with my two iPod Classics. Both are beyond flaky attached to Sync 3 bottom USB port. Disappears, S3 can't find attached device, doesn't charge, iPod has to be reset, etc, etc. Sometimes recognizes it and works (miracle), mostly doesn't.
Would like it to work but the ipod is pretty much a brick sitting in my truck console.

I tired putting a Blue tooth transmitter on the ipod but the sync would not recognize it
Were you able to fix the problem????
