"How To" Add BLIS w/CTA to 2015 XLT 302A
I recently added BLIS with Cross Traffic Alert to my wife's 2015 F150 w/XLT 302A trim and attached the document explaining the "How To". This process does not require you to replace the 14005 frame harness. Rather 4 wires are added to complete the SODL & SODR (BLIS) modules to the CAN Bus network. You'll notice the programming of the SODL & SODR (BLIS) modules have 5 address values that are VIN Specific. Livnitup helped me with those values.
This retrofit would not have been possible without Livnitup and Ryan B's assistance.
Note: this vehicle previously had LED Non-King Ranch tail lamps and power fold trailer tow mirrors (with power extend) retrofitted at an earlier date.
Since much of the hardware required to install BLIS w/CTA is common to both LED tail lamps and power fold mirrors, I have also included the "How To" document for those retrofits as well.
Feel free to ask questions

@tmcolegr I tried to attempt this installation today on my 2016 XLT originally non-BLIS.
I have 2018 Tails with the updated wiring harness, Lariat w/o tech mirrors and modules installed, and all working well.
My C405 connector did not have the BLIS wires, so I added those per the instructions.
My C327 connector DID already had OEM colored wires in the spots. They were not jumpers.
Is there a connector between C327 and C405? I can't find where these terminate.
I tried to pull these 4 wires out and insert the ones I ran myself, and I got DTC's flying everywhere.
BLIS LED's light up on the mirrors, but they just stay lit on, while DDM and PDM give me DTC for incomplete initialization.
The DTC's popped up before programming, I did all the programming and included VIN specific lines, but DTCs remained.
Had to put everything back until I can figure this out.

Did you use 2015-2016 BLIS modules or can I use 2018 ones?
The JL3Z-13A409-G harness, do you just need one that runs and splits to both tail lamps?

Thanks to all who contributed to this thread and the great instructions. I've started the upgrade to tow mirrors, LED Tail lights and BLIS but ran into a small issue and need some guidance. The issue is around the PDM. For clarity, I'm not installing power fold, memory, spot light or power extend. I'm adding LED tail lights, tow mirrors, BLIS and Puddle lamps only.
I tried to order DG9Z-14B291-WR RH Door Module but am told it is replaced by DG9Z-14B291-XC. I have only started on the passenger side and installed the module. When I brought up FORScan, the new module looked to be already programmed (values listed below). I would have expected all zero's in all fields. As well, the module was not wrapped in bubble wrap in the box like the driver's door module is wrapped. I've found it quite difficult to program the last set of fields (741-22-01). I can try to write those fields multiple times, mostly without success. I was finally able to get them programmed to zeros after multiple attempts In addition, I have a PDM error which cannot be cleared with FORScan. I've updated FORScan to the latest build (2.3.48) and no change. Of course, the new module has fields 741-14-01 through 741-22-01 which the old module does not have. According to Livnitup's spreadsheet, these are all related to mirror memory, which I don't have. I've tried programming the module with all zero's in those fields, and with using the values that were there when I received the module. I cannot get rid the of the following module error regardless of how I program the module. However, the function seems to work so far (have not tested BLIS yet as I'm not far enough along but everything else works, including global windows up/down).
Code: U2100 - Initial Configuration Not Complete
Status:
- DTC Present at Time of Request
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC
Module: Passengers Door Control Unit
UPDATE: Suggestion received was to write all values at once (not one at a time). I first tried to write all zero values, but FORScan indicated that was an invalid Configuration and would not write the values. So I loaded and wrote the original values that came in the new module, then loaded and wrote all the values I wanted. Selected the PDM DTC, and it cleared! Thanks for the recommendation to write the entire file instead of individual values. Persistent DTC issue solved!
I've also looked at the Configuration tab in FORScan and have this information. I know the part number on the box and the part number on the part don't always match. Can someone verify if it looks like I have the correct part or not? (box has DG9Z-14B291-XC)
PDM - Passengers Door Control Unit
Part number: DG9T-14B533-ED
Calibration level: DG9T-14B533-ED
Strategy : DG9T-14C108-CD
I'm questioning whether or not this is really the right part. And whether or not this was installed and programmed prior to me getting the part? (Remember, it was not in original bubble wrap packing like the DDM module, it was unwrapped in the box)
So far, I've only installed the PDM and wanted to resolve any issues before starting on the DDM. Since I do not yet have the BLIS modules active, I've only activated the Puddle Lamp in the current PDM configuration. Before I go forward, I wanted to see if others could shed a bit of light on whether or not this part is the correct part, and does it appear to be a new part or one someone else took off and returned... Thoughts/opinions?? Thanks for your input!

Does everything else work as intended?
If so, try to save all (as if backing up). Then load all and write all. This work on my heated steering wheel module to "trick" the module into thinking an initial configuration was completed on the module.
In addition, I don't have the forscan sheet in front of me, I wonder if the values you can't program are just checksums automatically filled in.

I can try a write all. Have not tried that yet.
As far as the values, I cannot write, it is the whole line, not the checksum values.
741-22-01 xxxx xxxx xx I can write the values (zeros or 5A5A 5A5A xx as was originally in the new module), cycle the ignition and read the module again, back to the previous value. It is odd....... but I'll try write all and see how it goes. Thanks for the idea.
UPDATE: Same recommendation received from another via DM to write all values for the entire file. I first tried to write all zero values, but FORScan indicated that was an invalid Configuration and would not write the values. So I loaded and wrote the original values that came in the new module, then loaded and wrote all the values I wanted. Selected the PDM DTC, and it cleared! What is the estimated cost of adding this to a 2016 Lariat 500A (base)? I infer that it requires adding LED tail lights, which my truck does not have. I do have power-fold tow mirrors with lamps.

Do your existing mirrors have BLIS capability or not? If not, replacement of mirrors will be required. I purchased aftermarket tow mirrors which were $700 for the pair. Ford mirrors (new or used) will be more than that. If you want Power Extend, Power Fold, spot lights, etc, those all add to cost as you may have to replace your window switch, or add a switch for the spot lights. I only went with Puddle lamps and BLIS for my mirrors and manual fold/extend.
I assume you have Halogen tail lights so: New LED Taillight lens: approx. $450 each (one for each side). You need to add the BLIS module (approx $75 for each side) and you need the BLIS mount (approx $80 for each side) and if you have halogen, you need a new Tail Light Harness (approx $100). For me, I found used LED Tail Lights from J&T Auto Parts in North Carolina for $450 each (which included the BLIS module and mounting bracket). Bought the tail light harness new. Of course, i you already have LED tail lights (just without BLIS modules, then you only need to add the BLIS module and mounting bracket).
If you need the DDM/PDM modules, they are approx $60 each. If you need new door harness, they are about $125 per door.
Hopefully this gives you an idea. It is best to look at the documents and see what function exists in your truck, and determine which parts you need. There is a lot of information there and it takes a couple of times reading it to comprehend all the necessary components. From there, price out the parts you need using new/used parts of your choice. There are several on-line Ford dealers who offer pretty good discounts (TASCA, Lakeland Ford, etc.). Car_Part.com is also your friend....
Good Luck
