Default HomeLink range

Is anyone else having issues with the range on the built in garage door opener system on their new truck?? I am having problems at only 50ft.
My 2013 would work at 100+ ft as I was driving down the road. In my new 2015, when I sit at the end of the driveway I have to struggle to get it to work. I find myself wiggling the visor up and down until the door responds.

Yes, it is horrible. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. I have to hold the button and move up and down the driveway to get it to work.

I noticed the same thing. My old one would work from the street the new one i have to be in the driveway. At least now I don't have to worry about forgetting to shut the garage door as I drive away because I have to activate it right away to be in range.

No issues on mine. Sometimes it works from about 4 houses away and other times its 1 house away. Fairly consistent though on approximately 80 ft away. Enough time to open the garage door for me to pull into the driveway and open my door.

I'm wondering if maybe it works better on trucks with a moon roof??
Is it because of the aluminum vs steel?? either way it is noticeably
worse than my 2013. I'm still kicking myself for not ordering the moonroof,
is this one more reason!

I have the moonroof and I cannot open my garage from further away than the end of the driveway.

Default door opner

with the complete interior design the sun visor that the opener is mounted is setting a little higher up in the cab,the opener is faceing down like at a 45 degree angle, pull the visor down about half way and it will work, engineering problem with the opener

Glad to know it's not just me, range on my moonroof equipped truck stinks as well. I don't understand why they continue to put home link in the visor it seems very 15 years ago

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. Such simple feature, yet doesn't work well. It seems to be button 1 for me which I have programmed to my garage. My wife's garage is button 2 and works fine all the time.
