I have a 2016 Lariat with a January build date and my home link performs very poorly - inconsistent open/close and the range has to be w/in 15' or so. I only have the one Garage door so I've just been using my opener that came with it since it has a great range and always opens/closes when pushed. It hasn't been a big deal for me but if the TSB is updated to include some 2016's I'll most likely take it in.

The strange thing for me is that I have 2 homes (weekend/lake home) and the remote works perfectly fine at the non-primary home. But I've tried everything to make sure there is no interference where I'm having problems. And the OEM remote works perfectly fine.

SSM 45635 - 2015 F-150 - Universal Transmitter - Poor Range - Built On Or Before 11/30/2015
Some 2015 F-150 vehicles built on/or before 11/30/2015 and equipped with a universal transmitter may exhibit poor range while attempting to operate a garage door. A poor range concern may be present if the battery was weak in the original transmitter used to program the universal transmitter. If the universal transmitter is inoperative at any distance, refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-02 for normal diagnostics. If the universal transmitter functions properly at a very close distance, poorly at normal distances and the battery of the original transmitter was good when programming the universal transmitter, then replace the sun visor. The sun visor has been updated for this concern. Refer to the parts catalog for the appropriate part number required for each vehicle.

3 Doors
I have a two door attached garage and a detached single door garage. With my homelink 3 button visor, my detached single door works from 50-80 ft. max, which is fine for me. The attached two door garage, one button works the door from 50 ft. or so but the other door I almost have to touch with the front bumper to get it to open. I also have to turn the visor down to get it to close when leaving. Twin identical liftmaster units in attached garage, single jackshaft style unit in detached garage using a homelink signal converter to operate the opener. Oh, and of course, the one with no range is the door I use daily!
