Wonder what's different with the replacement visor? The problem almost seems like a compatibility issue to me. At home, I have absolutely terrible range and have to be backed up right to the door in order for it to open. And sometimes still need to fiddle with the visor. Its SOOOO frustrating. But the thing is, I have a second (weekend/lake) home and there the range is consistently great. Makes no sense to me?!?

Just wondering if the part No. is different than original, suggesting that it is different remote. I will have my truck in for service this week and want them to look at it. Is there a TSB on this?

SSM 45635 - 2015 F-150 - Universal Transmitter - Poor Range - Built On Or Before 11/30/2015

Some 2015 F-150 vehicles built on/or before 11/30/2015 and equipped with a universal transmitter may exhibit poor range while attempting to operate a garage door. A poor range concern may be present if the battery was weak in the original transmitter used to program the universal transmitter. If the universal transmitter is inoperative at any distance, refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-02 for normal diagnostics. If the universal transmitter functions properly at a very close distance, poorly at normal distances and the battery of the original transmitter was good when programming the universal transmitter, then replace the sun visor. The sun visor has been updated for this concern. Refer to the parts catalog for the appropriate part number required for each vehicle.

Any update on this? Did it resolve the range issue?

I didn't get the print out when I left, he said he looked at the TSB and it states there's a new visor that was updated after Nov 2015 that corrects the issue.

Ok thanks.
I like to have all of the details when I talk to the service advisor as I typically know more about the TSB then he does from what I've read and learned off of the forum here (scary I know)

They'll throw your VIN in their system and it will show the newest part number and when it was updated I believe. There's different part numbers for different VIN's so mine might not be the same as yours even though we both have 502A's.
