Thanks for this. I have sent it to Billet Badges as an example of what I am looking for and will see what they say. The OEM fender badge is 3/8" thick but 1/8" of it is the black part that raises it so the chrome part is only 1/4" thick. If I am able to get Billet Badges to make what I want I bought a couple of new F150 Platinum badges if anyone is interested in trying to make their own custom badges.

Billet Badges has a one piece fender badge they make that looks just like the existing ones, right now their gallery shows this with the "Lariat" designation. I'm guessing you could have them replace the "Lariat" with whatever you want, and that is going to get spendy if you are up for it. IIRC, a set of those one piece badges are about $250. Changing anything from a stock configuration, they will charge $35 for a "design fee". Since they have license agreements with Ford, they already have the F150 logo approved for sale, but the Roush lettering, or logo will need a different approval, which they probably do not have and hence some peoples problems getting those made.
But my question is, if you are going to replace the fender badges with something different, why go with the style of the existing badge that is on there now and modify it? Why not design something a little different that is easier to maintain, like their 2.5 x 9 rectangle badge? This would cover the fender holes and you could get the emblem with whatever you wanted on, say the F150 logo, and then something under like "Supercharged" or even "rough".
I tried to get them to make me a set of fender badges with just the F150 logo, no trim designation, just the 2015+ logo that we see on the fender. Simple design, 2.5" x 9", all aluminum (would have mine painted later). I could have added something under if I wanted, but wanted just a simple design. They sent a quote of $250 which included their "design fee", and then over 2 months later still would not commit to any timeline of when they could have it produced. They just told me they "work in a que" and it will come up when it comes up. Eventually, I just kept asking about a timeline, called them, and they either ignored me or just gave me flat out false info. Eventually had to go to Paypal to file a claim as I think Billet Badges just got tired of my questions and wouldn't even respond anymore.
This was just my experience, maybe others will have better luck, but, with all the options they could do, and if you were much more patient than me, why not just have them make something a little different than is on there now and give it your own twist?

I bailed out on BB when I found out the cost. Seemed high to me, but maybe that's the going rate. I got some F150 Limited badges with no nomenclature on them, just F150, similar to what as on the tailgate of the 12th gen. Blacked out the chrome, sanded the rough finish off the insert, had the insert painted, and cost me around $175 all included. A lot less than the $285 that BB wanted, and was exactly what I wanted.
I'm waiting for Spoat to see what he might come up with if he's interested.
On edit; I might add, this was on my olde '12.

I recently tried to have Billet Badges make me a custom badge for my truck, just with the F150 logo, and they were never able to do it. I have used them in the past, work was great, and they had great customer service. Seems like they have just taken a step back recently; maybe they are just too busy right now, too big, not sure, but my last experience was not so good and had to eventually file a claim with them as they stopped responding.
Really have been looking hard for other companies that would do things like this, closest I have found so far are 3D printed parts which I'm exploring now.

- I sent mine back to them for re-chrome. Took several weeks for them to get back to me and they ended up saying it wasn't needed. Almost seemed like they didn't want to go through the hassle even though I was willing to pay. So instead, asked them to polish out fine scratches and redo color fill.
- Called on a Tuesday and was told they were finished; I wanted them back before doing my ceramic coat, so I asked them to rush and offered to pay extra for shipping. Was told no problem they'd get them out asap.
- Nothing showing on my FedEx/UPS tracking apps so I called them on Wed and the girl said they were shipping out that day.
- Called again Thurs and she said they would be shipping them overnight that same day. Asked her to email me the tracking number. Nothing received.
- Called yet again Friday morning and was told the reason I wasn't seeing them on my FedEx & UPS apps is because they used USPS. Asked her to email me the tracking number. Five hours later and nothing.
- Called again Fri afternoon and got the tracking number from a guy who answered. They had used FedEx and the label was created about 30 mins after I called Friday morning.
- Badges arrive with the same fine scratches they had before. Not sure if they tried to polish them out of not. Also, badges had what can only be described as clearcoat overspray all over them. They looked like crap. Luckily, the guy doing my ceramic was a pro detailer and he was able to polish all that junk off. Still have some fine scratches but only noticeable from 2' away
If you do deal with them, I'd call and speak with Alex Eriksson... I believe he's the top guy there. In my experience, the girl that answers the phone is worthless.
