This still had the factory sticker on the window, qualified for new car incentives, is listed as "new" on the bill of sale.
I would try to get something in writing just in case that shows the miles on it when purchased.. My ordered by me shows the 13 miles on it when I picked it up.. So warranty shows 36013 miles as ending mileage.. I think they picked it up at the factory in Dearborn and drove it the 13 miles to the dealer..

If it was a brand new vehicle (even though it was a "demo" with 3,000 miles) sounds like your warranty should be 3 years from your purchase date and up to 39,000 miles on the truck.

You should've signed an odometer disclosure form as part of the process. It's a federally required form if I'm not mistaken. It should list the exact miles on the vehicle at the time you took possession (mine said 21 cuz mine had 21 when I drove it away, yours should say 3,XXX). That document should also be what's used to trigger the exact mileage the warranty will cover.

I'd go through the paperwork you got and make sure it's correct.

It's not a big big deal until the transmission goes out at 37,000 miles and Ford says you're SOL when you should still be under warranty.

Pretty much like buying a used vehicle with an extended warranty. Warranty takes effect at the mileage you take possession at. I bought my truck used with 86,000 miles, and a 4yr/48,000 mile warranty. So I'm good until 4 years or 134,000 miles.

I appreciate everyone's input so far.

I did indeed sign a odometer disclosure, and that's all accurate on the paperwork.

I just am hoping that Ford verifies that it doesn't start until I took possession. Because right now my online account shows that it started months ago.

I'll keep this updated once I hear back from Ford in case anyone else encounters a similar situation in the future.

In Canada, Your 3 years starts on the day you purchased the truck but the 60k warranty starts from the ODO at 0, so if you bought new and it had 10kms on it, your warranty is good for 3 years and/or till your odo reads 60000kms. Stupid I know!

Curious what type of discount did you or should you(me) expect from a demo? I see my dealer has a demo w/ 2k miles for $1500 less than a brand new one with the exact same model and options.

Your warranty starts the day you bought it and any miles already on it, are added to the back side of the standard warranties. You loose nothing in that regard.

Mine had 488kms on it last Saturday when I picked it up. Dealer dropped $500 off the price. Not sure about the warranty. My local dealer brought it in from a dealer 800 miles away. My bill of sale says new.
