Yeah, I was pretty confused too.

However, I found this website pretty helpful: http://tire-size-conversion.com/tire-size-comparison/

There is even a visualizer tab, so you can get a comparison betweeen two sizes and what they might look like.

I have been using that and really like it. I will call my shop tomorrow to confirm I can use tires for a slightly smaller rim then order something. Thanks for all your help!

I would recommend a 33x12.50 for tire size or close to that width. It'll work fine with a 9" wide wheel. Look really good on your set up and you won't have any problem with rubbing. I'd go with a toyo m/t, a nitto trail grappler, or a nitto mud grappler. All three fantastic tires. Tougher than nails because they are 10 ply tires, and will take you anywhere you want to go on a normal day. Mud grapplers are totally badass and aggressive however just extremely loud and don't last very long if you have an aggressive driving style because the rubber composite used to make them is really soft. And need to be rotated and balanced about ever 4000 miles.
