First figure out what the size of the pipe is for the muffler and resonator. Second chop off said muffler and resonator. Third find a magnaflow muffler that is oval shaped and the case is at least 14". Fourth take the new muffler to an exhaust shop and tell them to work their magic. Fifth drive around until the muffler breaks in.

This is my plan also, Delta Flow 50 with stock resonator and piping. My question is about the welded stock tail pipe/ muffler joint. Where The tail pipe leaves the muffler it immediately curves up. it seems if you cut the stock muffler off it doesn't leave much pipe to weld the new muffler to...for the guys who've replaced their mufflers how did the installer handle this? Anybody have any pics of just a muffler replacement? Thanks Lou.

Hi J Wal,

I got videos up in the other thread per your request.

2015 5.0 w/ Magnaflow 12249 5x8x18 oval
- Cold startup and idle
- Warm startup
- 70 cruise and quick WOT blip
- Moderate 0-40 pull from stop

https://www.f150forum.com/f118/magna...r-only-356842/

I went back and forth over Flowmaster vs Magnaflow but in the end I'm very happy with my purchase.

In my first video from above/other thread I do a quick look underneath. You can see the welds. The installed didn't even skip a beat when cutting off the stock muffler. I watched him do it. The fact that there isn't much real estate with the curve was not an issue.

Corsa. It's expensive but well worth it.

No drone that I notice, but love the get up and go sound. It might be that I don't notice it because I like it so much. My brother's GMC Black Widow edition we can't have a conversation without screaming at each other.

I have the touring axel back on my mustang. ZERO drone, no matter where you are in the RPM range. It's sick ***** exhaust full throttle, cruising is completely perfect. I can't say enough about Corsa.

I went with the 50 Series Flowmaster and left the resonator on. Single inlet with dual outlets and powder coated black tips out the back. It looks and sounds amazing!

I wanted the same thing that you are looking for since my last V8 had the super 40 Series on it and was really loud all the time. Great for high school and college, but not so much in adult life.

Now I get a nice deep growl while accelerating, and almost no drone at all while at highway speeds (about 1700-1800 rpm).

Good Luck!

Well, went with a Flowmaster Delta 50, did a resonator delete. Very happy with the sound. You can hear it in the cab only when accelerating and it's not loud or drone. It's aggressive enough but not HS kid
