Hellwig anti sway bars....

even when it was quiet, it was too stiff, hurt my ol back on bumps. Also feels like corners the same without it and with fox 2.0s in the rear. good riddance

Thanks to those who installed and commented on the Hellwig rear swaybar. I installed one on my 16 reg cab 2wd 6.5 box yesterday. Took about 60 min buy myself in the driveway. Setup using center hole and made sure the bar was level. Took test ride on familiar roads and liked the new road feel & flatter cornering...it's not a GT Mustang, but it is improved.

How did you make out wirh the passenge side attachment? Inside or outside of the brake lines?
. Anyway, did you do the Foxes? They do more for my money. I only did the 2.0s too.

Had mine on for 20 months now. 1st mod I did. Completely changed the handling of the truck for the better. My off road consists of what I would consider moderate dirt trails. Generally pulling a 23' TT down them to set up out away from the campgrounds. 4 wheelers are for the extreme trails.
When I do an oil change (5-6000 mi.) I go through the truck bumper to bumper (it's done on a lift) and re-torque every nut and bolt I can put a wrench on. A little grease is applied where needed and as necessary. The Hellwig SB has remained torqued the same as when it was installed.
Having to do it all over again knowing what I know now, it would once again be the 1st mod I'd do.

Slippery conditions with rear sway bar
I see a couple of comments regarding slippery conditions with the rear bar installed on my 2014, but not directly discussed.
I just had the rear Hellwig installed and have twice now actually had the rear swing out on me. First time was really not very slippery, but went to change lanes at approx. 60 mph, stepped into the gas a bit but not allowing downshift. The truck immediately started fishtailing. But it did immediately correct itself when I came off the accelerator.
Second time was turning a corner and the rear swung right around me. No more acceleration than normal when a little bit slippery.
Definitely some oversteer happening.
This sway bar really has changed the handling. It's great at keeping the vehicle level in cornering, but is really squirrelly when the least bit of road slickness is encountered.
Now for my question, does anyone know if installing the front Hellwig will help with this oversteer? I'd really prefer to not remove the rear one.

Did mine today! It's like night and day driving around a little bit today. Took about 3 hours including a trip to the store for a longer extension for my sockets.
