I remember those. It made the windshield look bronze. The NJ state police bought a boatload of Crown Vics with them installed........Until, they found out that the radar guns did not work because the signal would not penetrate the glass. I've seen then as standard on rear window wipers but not on fronts.

good to have if they were maybe part of a "cold weather " package. I'd take it - if I lived elsewhere.

OUr once or twice per year snowpocolypse event doesn't warrant paying for an option like that.

IMO. I mean I didn't even get 4x4. And on the Exploder I didn't get AWD.

hell my DD is a V8, 6sp, RWD sedan - and I roll into work on snowpocolypse day while everyone else is apparently home making french toast.

Subaru has been doing this on their winter package cars for years. Its amazing that ford is just now catching up.

Oh, great. Now how do I explain to my wife that we need to trade in our nine-month-old Lariat so that I can get the heated wipers?!

(This really would be a great feature in a cold-weather package on all models for buyers in the north.)
