I don't have this module underneath the passenger seat of my 2018 XLT but the drivers side heated seat isn't working.

Any ideas??

But yes, a poor design that's for sure. Just a thought..
So are you putting the dielectric grease on the terminal connection, like from the female on the plug to the male on the board? And just a little goes a long way?

Yes,and I did all connections while I had my head under there. Don't be stingy with the grease. If you have TED's, make sure the filters are clean-simple remove and replace.

I’m in the process of doing this repair and noticed that my SCME circuit board has a little damage on it (broken resistor, I think). I’m hoping to repair it, but if I need a new SCME, is it plug and play? Or do I have to get it programmed at the dealer? I can’t really find any commentary on a new SCME install. Truck is a 2016 Lariat.

Should be plug and play. No programming needed.

The SCME requires PMI if replaced. It needs to be programmed.

Appreciate the info. This didn’t fix my issue, so started a new thread.

Just paid local dealership $200 diag fee to tell me $1000 to fix and it may not fix it. Wish i was inclined enough to do something like this.

Don't you wish you had a business where you could charge $1200 to "maybe" fix something.
Note: There are threads on this forum on fixing this. I don't remember the details but there is a controller under the passenger front seat. Inspect the connector...do a search.
