Default Head Rest Removal? And Display Power-Up Default?

Hi there. I am new to this forum with my 3 week old 2015 F150 XLT XTR. I traded in a 2006 F150 XLT XTR for the new one and I am very happy with it so far.

2 Questions:

Can the headrest on the front centre seat be removed (40-20-40 configuration)? I am having a heck of a time removing this. Only one of the insert rods to the headrest has a “pin’ to push to release to rod.

My display between the tachometer and speedometer always powers up at Trailer 1 screen no matter where it is left at power down. How do I set it to default at another screen on power up?

Can't answer the question about the trailer...but for the headset in the middle seat. There are two push pins. I think one is on the inside and one on the outside. Trust me, it's there. Took me a few minutes and a lot of cursing to get mine off.

Can't help with the headset. But based on my experience, for the startup screen you need to have your dealer do a master reset. That's what fixed it for me.

In your menu go to the trailer set up, go to select a trailer then select no active trailer then hit OK and the problem will be corrected. I had the same issue when I set up my trailer before I hooked it up. Hope this helps.

Yes, as Rheimy says, the headrest is removable, but you may invent a couple new cuss-words to to get it done. Two sets of hands are a plus, and you might have to get right down and peek through between the seat and headrest to see the catches. But they are there - just maybe not where intuition might lead.

I had a hard time too. The pictures in this thread helped. It's really hard to feel with how tight it is, but this is what you're feeling for:
