I also think, at least with my 2.7, it keeps it in recirc mode when the engine is cold until it's warmed up a bit so the engine can warm up faster. Cold outside air running through the heater core will make the coolant colder which will make it take longer to warm up.
Is this info for manual or auto ? Thanks

Default Some thoughts

With just the floor selected, air will come out both the floor and a bit out the windshield defrost

If you select vent and floor, then none will come out the windshield defrost. To get floor only, (so air is not hitting me in the face), I use the vent and floor settings and manually close down the vents.

I don't like this, but am learning to live with it. Very rarely does it come in handy to have a little coming out the windshield defrost and floor at the same time.

My biggest gripe is that very little ever comes out the Center console at the back seat. Does anyone else have a problem with weak center console airflow?

Thanks for the info. I bought my 2.7 6 months ago, but just noticed this happening the other day. At first I thought it was just me but I'm glad to see others are having the same thing happen.
