Its certainly not a money saving move, but its not as bad as a lot of people think if you are smart about your moves. Interest rates are so low, I dont mind paying 2% on a car loan all the time and never carrying a balance on a credit card at 12%+.

Constantly buying does mean you constantly have a payment, you never get to that promise land lol.
Amen to that. I drive a LOT for work - traded a '14 I bought new, owned a year and a half and put 35k miles on. Got 30k trade value (Cost me 7k to put on that many miles) and bought a new '16. Had I sold myself, I'd have cleared a few grand over the payoff versus just a grand. The '16 has been racking up the miles even quicker - 13 months and 37k miles now. I'm targeting this one to get replaced right before my extended warranty is out at 75k miles, but time will tell. I love this truck.

The crew cab is a huge deal as we've been hauling grandkids around and it's so much roomier back there and easier to install the car seats! I'm not going to miss the push button start because I was constantly reaching to try and start the lariat on the column anyway!(drove without for 43 years before the lariat!) love the big sunroof, the blis was annoying when in heavy traffic, I like the little screen on these mirrors! Guess I'm getting to old to really try and figure out all the gizmos I had on my Lariat. This truck just feels better...
Thank you. I keep saying that my XLT doesn't have any bells and whistles that I don't need.

Love my truck.

It's too bad your grandkids are not gearheads, RubyFX4. I've never had the blind spot stuff beep at me in heavy traffic in my '16 lariat, only when people are coming from the left or right in parking lots when I put the gear selector in reverse. Would you please describe what the BLIS system did while you were plodding along in traffic that was not backing out of a parking space? Or are you talking about the yellow light that comes on in the side mirrors when there is a car in the next lane within the range that the light is lit?

I kind of like the push button start, it is my 1st automatic so it's a good way to remember that the 3rd pedal is not a clutch pedal etc. I wish it were column shift though, would be even more obvious this way. If there's ever a good thread on here about doing that I'm going to when the warranty expires.

push button start is one of the main reasons i bought an F-150 over a Sierra or Tundra.

I've had push button start in 6 of my last 7 vehicles, I'm totally used to it now. Leather, turbo, the 6.5 ft bed w/bed step, and the gear stick in the center console were the main reasons I bought my 2015. You guys continue to buy new and trade them in after 2 or 3 yrs. I'll continue to drive my used vehicle for 5 or 6 yrs until I'm ready to ****** up another gently used bargain. That's the formula my family has been using now for our last 14 vehicles.

On the blis thing it was the constant lights in the mirrors when in heavy traffic. With the 501A pkg. I felt like I had a lariat wannabe anyway! But seriously the big thing for me was switching to a crew cab, there is such a huge difference. The prices have gotten so out of hand now and the big discounts are on the XLT's not the lariat! I just really liked the way this truck looked, sometimes you see them and drive them and you just know it's right!

Congrats on the new ride, great looking truck. I agree that the XLT has everything I need. All the extra stuff like moonroof, console, leather etc doesn't mean anything to me-more to go wrong. Just need a good looking, comfortable, safe and reliable truck to haul people and cargo.
