BMWs have a seperate brake light that only comes on when you're braking hard.

They have had brake light pulsing modules out for motorcycles for many years. I had one on my `88 Harley. Ebay has tons of them:

Another win for Ford with the auto lights!
I also believe people won't pay attention to blinking lights after a while either, because those same 3/4 cars on the road aren't noticing emergency vehicles either.

Funny, half the time I'm driving I the rain, 3/4 of the cars on the road don't have any lights on. Except GM because they don't give you a choice.

You'll always have idiots that aren't paying attention while driving, but I think the majority of people will notice flashing brake lights.

Got tired of the cost and now have a package where I pay $17 an oil change at Mieneke. I drive a 2015 and don't have the itch to trade, most likely due to not being on the dealership lots. I know very little about the 16-17 MY. Cheaper maintenance at the dealership would bring in more people "just looking."

As for switching from a Lariat to an XLT I was able to keep my favorite option which is the tailgate step! My wife and I both think the cloth seats in the XLT are more comfortable. The crew cab is a huge deal as we've been hauling grandkids around and it's so much roomier back there and easier to install the car seats! I'm not going to miss the push button start because I was constantly reaching to try and start the lariat on the column anyway!(drove without for 43 years before the lariat!) love the big sunroof, the blis was annoying when in heavy traffic, I like the little screen on these mirrors! Guess I'm getting to old to really try and figure out all the gizmos I had on my Lariat. This truck just feels better, and I still have the 2.7 which I really have grown to like. Probably won't get my 21.5 mpg now that I have the 20 inch wheels but the look so nice!! I told my wife this ones a keeper and she laughed and said you said that about your 13 FX4!!
