Default Growing flowers on the windshield..

So, a couple weeks ago I noticed this. What’s going on there? Haven’t noticed em’ getting any bigger. It’s like the black border layer is pealing away on the inside. Anybody else seen this before?

Warranty will cover that. It’s windshield separation.

This.
Service writer immediately wrote it up for a windshield replacement. He took pics for Ford's approval while simultaneously ordering a new windshield. Gauging his non reaction and immediately write up, I'd say this is a common problem. He referred to it as snowflakes, delimitation of the windshield, a manufacturing defect.

I haven’t taken this to a dealer yet. My windshield is tinted fully; 70% ceramic. Do you think they’d deny a claim for that? Wondering if I should strip the tint off before approaching them about it. (I’d rather not.. just laziness).

Just bought my truck, and was questioning what the hell a round sticker that said windshield coating was all about. Threw it away so don't remember the exact wording, but could this 'delamination' have anything to do with that? Hmmm. Don't notice any tint, so maybe a UV thing? I'd like to know. Should have kept the sticker to ask. Oh well. Curious to hear the real reason for that. And hopefully my new truck doesn't have that problem anymore. At any rate, when posting these kind of issues, it'd be good to post model year and mileage at the very least, plus extra details like if truck sits under the sun all day or not, etc. Good luck.
