Grill Options Raptor Style Grill
#2592
My grille showed up today and so far looks descent for an aftermarket china part.
Seems as if the grill will have to be trimmed behind the letter R as it sticks out a bit. Shouldnt be hard at all. Not bad for $165 shipped
I am thinking I am going to paint the outter rim and the letters Magnetic to match the truck. I like the accent of that.

I finished installing my Raptor (Paramount) grille today. I dropped it off at the body shop earlier this week to have the letters and the surround painted. I am happy with it.
I upgraded the horns while I was in there to the hella supertone ones. Quite a bit louder.
And the finished install

Sure thing.
1. Open hood
2. Remove head light plastic surround (2 screws in the fender and 1 push pin)
3. Remove top radiator trim 10 or so push pins
4. Remove 3 pins on each side of grille that hold the flaps on the side
5. Remove 4 bolts on top of grille
6. Disconnect 2 electrical connectors by hood latch
7. Remove 2 front grille bolts (by head lights)
8. Lift out grille and place front side down on a soft work surfact
9. Remove 3 speed nuts that hold shutter to grille bottom
10. Remove 4 bolts around perimeter of shutter
11. Remove 1 bolt that attaches shutter to ford emblem
12. Remove 4 push pins that attach shutter to grill
13. Lift off shutter
14. Install shutter onto new grille using the supplied hardware
15. Install grille back onto vehicle, you might have to lift a bit and then push it into place
16. Attach 2 bolts on the front
17. Attach 4 bolts on the top - check fit of grille
18. Route wires from lights to passenger or drivers side of the radiator (your choice)
19. Reconnect electrical connectors
20. Install 3 push pins on each side of grille
21. Install top cover on radiator using push pins
22, Install headlight plastic surround pieces
23. Tap wiring harness into parking lights or any other source - depending on how you want to lights in the grille to come on.
24. Close hood and wipe off all those finger prints
25. Take a picture and have an adult beverage
I hope I am not forgetting any steps here, probably, but hopefully you will get the idea. This should be accomplishable in about an hour, a bit longer if you need to figure out your wiring for the grille led's.

I do like the Raptor style grille. However I feel like I would be a look-a-like. There are two other options that I am looking at. Found them on CJ Pony's site

I feel that with some creative painting and some cool badges you can make both of these work really well and still have a better than stock grille. The only other OEM grille I like is the Platinum with it's faux stainless steel finish. I will update if/when I get one of those, and what I decide to do with it
