GPS in my touch is worthless
We have a 2015 F-150 with the GPS system. This system is by far the worst GPS I have ever used. It doesn’t understand voice commands and doesn’t even work when we manually enter the address on the screen. Recently we enter a commercial address where the business has been for years and it came back with 4 choices NONE were ever close to the address we entered. I use a Garmin GPS on our motor home all the time and it is near perfect. So save your money and buy a new portable Garmin not this piece of junk.

Google maps is teriffic otoh.
I'm happy my truck didn't come with the navigation. My buddy was trying to tell me that I needed it since his 2013 Edge had it...I told him I was happy without it and he couldn't understand why. I guess it's because I've never had it in a new vehicle, plus I doubt I would ever use it since my phone gives me great directions via Bluetooth through the speakers. It tells me when I need to turn and if I passed it up...if it's a major destination. It still struggles with some houses if the mapping is off but that's to be expected.
I think it works fine so far. The only problem is that you have to know the specific commands to use to make it work with voice. Otherwise she gets real pissy.
Garmin and Google really are the best out there for maps though. Looks like Chrysler has the one up on Ford with their UConnect system with Garmin maps.

Lucky me, the Mustang had so many issues that the dealer exchanged the Mustang with the F150 XLT. Still we have to live with the stupid useless MyTouch screen what pop's up in the night, driving over a road pump what is more than disturbing on a pitch black HWY in Canada. (Still I need someone to explain to me why a 8" screen has to be in a vehicle if there is no GPS hardware in the unit!) And we could not exclude the 8" unit from the 302a package. I did buy a Chinese 7" Navi with Q2/2015 maps. Speed warnings, POI, 3D etc.. Price? $50 incl. lifetime map updates.
The FORD Tech-team sucks (who is responsible) for the sound/navi systems IMO.
The process with the voice commands for navigation suck. Too many specific commands you have to follow, my wife doesn't use it she hates it. I don't know how the navigation is on other manufacturers but its horrible with Ford.
